By cleaning (blasting) with corn cob particles, the same effect is achieved as for sandblasting. Because corncob grit is considerably less aggressive (hard) than sand, it is often categorized as a "soft abrasive" (corncob grain has a hardness of 4.5 Mohs). Vibrating immersion in corn cob granules is a cleaning system that cleans and dries at the same time. Liquids are perfectly absorbed.
The quality of drying and shining the cutlery strongly depends on the size of the corn kernels, because they have to get rid of the cutlery in all places, down to the smallest holes. By heating these corn kernels, the moisture (water) is easily absorbed and evaporated. Oxidation of your cutlery is therefore virtually impossible. Corn cob granulate is excellent for polishing, drying, soft sanding and blasting of metal components / parts. Corn granules are completely biodegradable and therefore extremely environmentally friendly.
